New coal giant on the JSE

The Optimum coal mine near Witbank will be listed on the JSE soon. Optimum will also take over control of Koornfontein, with an increase in shares of 19% to 41%. The mine supplies most of its coal to the Hendrina power station. Optimum was sold to a consortium of black shareholders 18 months ago
