Jan de Graaff from Rayton was recently chosen as the overall winner of the Solidarity New Joiners competition. Solidarity launched a competition on its website in July this year where a winner was chosen each week for ten weeks and an overall winner was chosen at the end of the competition. The overall winner could choose one of six prizes to the value of R2 000.

The winner could choose from the following prizes: - A Reverse Osmosis water purifying system - A silver Defy dishwasher - A silver Defy 240ℓ fridge-freezer - Fuel to the value of R2 000 - A shopping voucher to the value of R2 000 - A camping set with a tent, two sleeping bags, twee camping chairs and a Cadac cooler box The ten weekly winners each received a Solidarity flask and mug set made of stainless steel.
